Restaurant Franchise Leads — Host-Kitchen Data Across Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo
How Food Data Scrape scoped a UK data and market-intelligence feed that turns public delivery-app listings into scored franchise prospects and a cuisine gap map.
Key takeaways
Key takeaways
A UK franchise-development firm wanted ">restaurant franchise leads: independent kitchens that perform well on delivery apps but face little digital competition. We scoped one feed that pulls public listings from Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo, scores each kitchen on visible performance proxies, and maps cuisine gaps by postcode district.
Client overview
What did the client need?
In January 2026, a UK franchise-development firm asked for a data scraping and market-intelligence solution. It wanted structured data on restaurants across Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo, including restaurant names, contact details, ratings and operating hours.
The goal was to find independent host kitchens that could take on a franchise brand: strong ratings, but few rival listings nearby. It also wanted a "white space analysis" that maps areas with high consumer demand for specific cuisines.
The challenge
What made this hard?
- Three apps, one kitchen. One restaurant can appear on all three apps under different names, so records must be matched first.
- Sales are not public. No app shows orders or revenue, so "high performance" rests on labelled public proxies.
- Contact data has legal limits. A named owner's details are personal data under UK GDPR, so the feed stays at business-listing level.
- Demand is not visible. No app publishes cuisine searches, so demand is estimated from listing density and review volume.
- Hours differ. Opening hours vary between apps and other listings, which affects any hours-based score.
The solution
How did Food Data Scrape solve it?
We designed a four-stage workflow that collects, matches, scores and maps.
Approach
- Collect public listings. Name, cuisine, rating, rating count, hours and address from public app pages, within each site's terms, robots.txt and rate limits.
- Match and deduplicate. Normalise names and postcodes so each kitchen has one record and an app-presence count.
- Business-level contacts only. Public business phone, website and address; Google Maps business listings are a candidate source to confirm hours and phone. Owners' personal contacts are excluded, in line with the ICO's business-to-business marketing guidance on UK GDPR and legitimate interests.
- Score performance proxies. Rating, rating count, apps listed on and weekly hours form a transparent score. No sales volumes are claimed.
- Map white space. For each postcode district and cuisine, compare supply (listings) with demand proxies such as total rating volume. High review volume with few kitchens marks a gap.
- Cross-check with a public register. The Food Standards Agency open data can confirm a business is registered and add a hygiene rating.

Results
What were the results?
- One scored list instead of three app exports. Each kitchen appears once, with proxies side by side.
- A cuisine gap map. Postcode districts ranked by demand proxies against cuisine supply.
- Compliance-safe outreach data. Business-listing contacts only, ready for screening against the TPS and CTPS before any call.
Client testimonial
In the client's words
"Having Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo listings merged into one scored list lets us shortlist independent kitchens by visible performance instead of checking three apps by hand. The cuisine gap map by postcode district also gives our franchise conversations a clearer, data-backed starting point."
